A rectangular structural post for decking joists and small garden architecture – raised beds, benches, planters and pergola frames. Solid recycled polyolefin: nothing to rot, nothing to oil, nothing to paint. 15-year warranty.
A rectangular 100 x 50 mm structural section: the joist under a deck and the frame of small garden architecture. Laid flat it gives a wide 100 mm face to fix boards to; set on edge it gives the depth a longer span needs.
Under a deck it is the part nobody ever inspects again – which is exactly why it should not be timber. A joist sits in shade, in still air, often a few centimetres above damp ground, and it rots from underneath long before the deck surface shows anything. Solid recycled polyolefin has nothing to rot.
Cut it with an ordinary saw, fix it with ordinary screws, pre-drill for anything structural. There is no grain, so it does not split along one. Set in concrete or on a post anchor – the material does not care which, because there is nothing at ground level for rot to start on. That is where a timber post always fails first: the twenty centimetres just below the surface.
Nothing to oil. Nothing to sand. Nothing to paint. No board to swap out after the third winter, and no call-back from your client about a soft plank or a splinter. That is the whole case against timber: the purchase price is not the cost – fifteen years of upkeep is.

Mechanical values were tested on a 150 x 32 mm board made of the same material (ITB test reports LZM01 and LZM02). They are material properties and apply to all Ecoplank profiles.
The colour settles after roughly 45-60 days of UV exposure. A recycled product may show small differences in shade and weight between batches. This does not affect how it performs.
