These urban waste bins with Ecoplank boards come from ZANO, a company specialising in modern urban furniture.
ZANO used Ecoplank recycled plastic boards as part of the external finish of the bins. The material adds a clean and consistent visual detail while supporting the practical character of the design.
Public-space furniture needs to handle everyday use and constant exposure to outdoor conditions. Waste bins often stand in parks, streets, squares and other busy areas, so the choice of finishing material matters.
Ecoplank provides a modern alternative to traditional wood. We produce the boards from recycled plastic, and they do not require regular painting or impregnation. This helps simplify maintenance and makes them suitable for outdoor applications.
The ZANO project shows how recycled plastic can fit into contemporary urban design in a simple and functional way. The material works as part of an everyday object, not only as a construction product.
This kind of application also shows the wider potential of Ecoplank in small architecture. Recycled plastic boards can support modern public-space projects where design, durability and practical use need to work together.
