Tongue and Groove Board

Product symbol: TG32x140

Boards that lock together into a closed, gap-free surface: horse box partitions, kick walls, privacy fencing. Solid recycled polyolefin – it does not swell when the box is washed down and does not rot. 15-year warranty.

Product details

What this board is for

When the surface has to be closed – no gaps, nothing for a hoof to catch, nothing to see through – the tongue and groove board is the one. Boards lock into each other and form a continuous wall that stays flat and stays put. Timber in the same place cups, opens at the joints and, in a stable, ends up with a horse pushing a split board out of its frame.
Solid 32 mm recycled polyolefin. It does not absorb water, so it does not swell when a box is washed down, and it is of no interest to mould or insects.

Where it works

  • Horse box partitions and kick walls – a closed surface that takes a kick and washes clean, in a building where humidity never drops.
  • Privacy fencing and screens – full infill without a visible gap, on terraces, around bin stores and technical areas.
  • Barn and shelter cladding – walls that get hosed down, splashed and leaned on.
  • Waterfront and pool surrounds – constant damp with no annual treatment.

On site

An ordinary saw and ordinary screws. No special tools and no training for your crew – anyone who has built a timber deck can build this one. Spans, expansion gaps and joist detail are in the decking manual below; the material moves with temperature, so the gaps are not optional.

What it costs you after it is installed

Nothing to oil. Nothing to sand. Nothing to paint. No board to swap out after the third winter, and no call-back from your client about a soft plank or a splinter. That is the whole case against timber: the purchase price is not the cost – fifteen years of upkeep is.
