It confirms that our material meets hygienic requirements for outdoor use. Below we explain what the PZH hygienic certificate covers, how it helps contractors and investors, and where to download it.

PZH hygienic certificate no. B.BK.60111.0467.2026 covers Ecoplank plastic boards and profiles.

Issued on 23 July 2026 by the National Institute of Public Health PZH – National Research Institute. Valid until 23 July 2031.

It applies to outdoor use: decks, terraces, stairs, footbridges, paths, promenades and street furniture.

It does not cover contact with food or use inside buildings.

You can download it free of charge: PZH hygienic certificate (PDF).

Contents

What is a PZH hygienic certificate

What the Ecoplank certificate covers

How the certificate helps in practice

What the certificate does not cover

Where to download the certificate

Frequently asked questions

1. What is a PZH hygienic certificate

A hygienic certificate confirms that a product meets hygienic requirements for its intended use. In Poland, such certificates are issued by, among others, the National Institute of Public Health PZH – National Research Institute, after assessing the product’s composition and documentation.

The certificate is issued by an independent state institute, not by the manufacturer. This is why investors, municipalities and public space managers often ask for it when buying materials for places people use every day: boardwalks, squares, parks and bathing areas.

For recycled materials this matters even more. The first question an investor usually asks is: “Is recycled plastic safe?” The PZH hygienic certificate gives a written answer.

2. What the Ecoplank certificate covers

The certificate covers Ecoplank plastic boards and profiles intended for outdoor use. The PZH hygienic certificate is about the safety of the material; EN 15343 is about how much recycled material it contains.

3. How the certificate helps in practice

The PZH hygienic certificate is most useful wherever you need to document the safety of a material to a third party.

Tenders and public projects. Municipalities and site managers increasingly require a certificate for decks, promenades and park benches. When you choose Ecoplank recycled boards, the document is ready to attach.

Conversations with your clients. A contractor does not have to convince the client in their own words. The safety of the material is confirmed by a state research institute.

Spaces people use every day. Terraces by homes, footbridges over water, parks with benches and planters – people touch the boards every day in all of these places.

Complete documentation. The certificate complements other Ecoplank documents: the recycled content certificate, technical data sheets and test reports. All of them are available here: Documents. To learn how we work with contractors on projects, see For Contractors.

4. What the certificate does not cover

The certificate has a clearly defined scope. Knowing it helps you choose the right material for your project.

Contact with food. The certificate does not assess the product in direct contact with food, agri-food or pharmaceutical products.

Indoor use. It applies to use outside buildings only.

Technical parameters. The certificate does not assess strength or performance properties. You will find these in the technical data sheets and test reports in the Documents section.

The boards must also be used in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations and the regulations that apply to the specific site.

5. Where to download the certificate

The PZH hygienic certificate is available free of charge on our website.
